Dockham grabs third Tiger win; Wiggett, Laflamme grab first wins of season

NORTH WOODSTOCK, N.H. – Quinny Welch got past leader Oren Remick on a lap 22 restart to collect his fifth Late Model win of the season on Saturday night at White Mountain Motorsports Park.

The Lancaster, N.H. driver Welch then held on through the remaining 27 laps of the race despite Remick being planted on his rear bumper for much of that distance.

Remick, of Warner, N.H., settled for second with Speedway 51 Late Model champion Jeff Marshall of Lunenburg, Vt. third in his first start of the season. Claremont Speedway regular Ricky Bly of Sunapee, N.H. and multi-time champion Stacy Cahoon of St. Johnsbury completed the top-five finishers.

Matt Anderson, Bernie Lantagne, Jonathan Lemay, Bill Helliwell, and Leo Martin were sixth-through-tenth, unofficially.

Randy Dockham got past leader Todd Colpitts during a midrace restart to claim the win in the Wells River Chevrolet Tigere feature.

The win for the Bethlehem, N.H. driver was his third of the year.

Tim Churchill of Lincoln, N.H. ran to a second place finish while Colpitts, of Littleton, N.H., finished third. Point leader Shane Sicard of Barton, Vt., finished fourth with second place point driver Matt Morrill of Moultonboro, N.H. fifth.

Dave Allbee, Michael Potter, Stephen Hodgdon, Justin Eldridge, and Evan Amour completed the top-ten finishers.

Mark Wiggett held off George Helliwell on a late race restart to win the Twisted Tea Dwarf Car fdature.

The hometown driver took the early in the event and fended off multiple challenge from Bobby Brown and Helliwell.

Helliwell, of Pelham, N.H., finished second with Tom Smithers of Gilford, N.H. third. Norman Forest and Eric Corum completed the top-five finishers.

Christian Laflamme raced his way to the win in the Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Mini feature.

The Whitefield, N.H. driver started in the third spot and grab the lead on lap two. From there, Laflamme was forced to hold off Lisbon, N.H.’s Scott Senecal, who finished second.

Defending champion Scott Corey finished third with Don Judd Jr. and Brett Jackson fourth and fifth, respectively.

Nathaniel Parkin won the Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Truck feature over Matt Frey and Robby Gordon Douglas.

White Mountain Motorsports Park will host the Foley Oil Co. “Summer Showdown in the Mountains” on Saturday, July 23 and will feature 150-lap races for both the ACT Late Model Tour and the PASS North Super Late Models. Post time is set for 5:00pm.
