Rookie Morse wins first Limited Late Model feature; Coupes rained out

BRADFORD – A deeper starting spot couldn’t stop Adam Pierson on Saturday night at Bear Ridge Speedway.

The East Corinth driver fought from a 21st place starting spot to claim his second straight Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds win in their 40-lap Alarmco, Inc. feature event.

Pierson utilized a late race restart to work around leader Allan Hammond to earn the win.

Gary Siemons of Orford, N.H. bounced back from an opening night mechanical issue to finish in the second spot while Hammond, of Canaan, N.H., settled for third. Opening night runner-up Josh Sunn of White River Junction and Arnie Stygles of Bradford completed the top-five finishers.

Wayne Stearns, Josh Currier, Derek Graham, Todd Buckwold, and Tim Tucker finished sixth through tenth, respectively.

Rookie driver T.J. Morse of Danville earned the win in the 15-lap Mike Rivers Automotive Limited Late Model feature.

J.P. Vaillancourt of Plymouth, N.H. finished second while Wayland Childs of Chelsea finished third. Travis Smith and Tim Martin completed the top-five finishers.

Buddy Welch of East Corinth claimed the win in the 20-lap Weglarz Property Service Four Cylinder feature. Welch finished ahead of Bobby Bell Mike Ryan, Sean Perron, and Jesse Durkee.

Bob Griffin earned the win in the 500cc Granite State Mini Sprint feature over Shawn King and Brett Warren. Rich Crooker claimed the win in the 600cc Granite State Mini Sprint feature over Kyle Belliveau and John Scarborough.

The Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupe feature was rained out with seven laps completed. The event will be completed on Saturday, May 21 with Earl Maxham leading the field back to green.
