Crawford, Bunker earn wins in Super Streets, Mini Stocks

WENTWORTH, N.H. – Jason Sanville took advantage of a front row starting spot to go flag-to-flag as the leader and claim his first Peanut’s Auto Sportsman Modified win of the season on Friday night at Legion Speedway..

The win for the Grafton, N.H. driver was not with challenge. First, Sanville was forced to hold off two-time race winner Derek O’Hearn for the top spot before he was chased by last week’s feature winner Ryan Avery.

Avery, of Campton, N.H., settled for second while Orange, N.H. driver Allan Hammond finished third. O’Hearn, of Bristol, N.H., and Robbie Williams, of Plainfield, N.H., completed the top-five, unofficially.

Six through tenth went to Terry Williams, Todd Buckwold, Matt Lashua, Chad Miller, and Ryan Christian.

Bob Crawford Jr. went from fifth-to-first in just three laps to earn a dominating win in the Petro Mart of Enfield Super Street feature.

The win for the Groton, N.H. driver was his first of the season and comes one week after a flat tire on the final lap kept him out of victory lane.

Mark Brown of Rumney, N.H. finished second while Scott Heath of Warren, N.H. completed the podium finishers. Doug Boucher and Travis Smith finish forurth and fifth, respectively.

Aaron Bunker of Newport, N.H. earned his first win of the season in the Enfield Garage Outlaw Mini Stock feature.

Bunker took the lead from Fabian Smith on lap four and never looked back. He finished ahead of Matt Boucher and Sean Lantas on the podium while Jack Cook and Mike Lique completed the top-five finishers.

Daniel LaBraney of Franklin, N.H. earned the win in the twice-rescheduled Enduro.

Legion Speedway hosts an actioned filled event on Friday, June 17 with the two features for the Sprint Cars of New England. Post time is at 7:00pm.
