BRADFORD – Driver Josh Sunn is reportedly ok after he was airlifted to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center following a vicious crash on Saturday night at Bear Ridge Speedway.
Sunn, 33, of White River Junction, flipped over the turn two retaining wall during a USAC Dirt Midget Association heat race early in the evening.
Sunn was tended to by medical personnel at the speedway before they made the decision to request the DHART medical helicopter transport due to concerns of head and neck trauma. The event was stopped for nearly 40 minutes as they wait for the transport to occur.
As of Monday, reports indicate Sunn escaped serious injury with no broken bones and remains in the hospital under observation.
