Dockham earns Tiger victory; Corey takes third Strictly Mini win

NORTH WOODSTOCK, N.H. – Quinny Welch claimed his third win in four races on Saturday night at White Mountain Motorsports Park.

The Lancaster, N.H. driver held on through a thrilling green-white-checker finish that saw chief challenger Oren Remick spin around after the two made contact into turn one on the final lap.

Remick was able to gain the advantage on the restart and had the slight advantage over Welch as the two took the white flag. However, as the duo entered turn one, they would tangle that resulted in Remick’s car spinning around in a cloud of smoke. Welch was able to avoid Remick and earned the victory.

Multi-time champion Stacy Cahoon of St. Johnsbury, Vt. avoided the spinning car of Remick to finish second. Matt Anderson of Franklin, N.H. made his first start of the season and was rewarded with a third place finish. Mike Clark and Bernie Lantagne completed the top-five finishers.

Allison Menard, Dave Labrecque, and Dave Boyce finished sixth, seventh, and eighth, respectively. Remick fell back to ninth after his last lap spin while Mike Jurkowski completed the top-ten.

Randy Dockham claimed the win in the 30-lap Wells River Chevrolet Tiger feature.

The Bethlehem, N.H. driver finished ahead of point leader Shane Sicard and Tim Churchill on the podium. Todd Colpitts and Stephen Hodgdon finished fourth and fifth, respectively, while Dave Allbee, Steven Heitz, Matt Morrill, Colin Cornell, and Dave Baron Sr. completed the top-ten finishers.

Scott Corey of Concord, Vt. picked up his third win in four races in the 20-lap Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Mini feature.

Jesse Switser and veteran Dave Driscoll completed the podium finishers while Don Judd and Brett Jackson finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

Matt Frey picked up the win in the Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Kid’s Trucks over Nate Walton and Christopher Pierce.
