BARRE — Cris Michaud of Northfield earned his first Late Model win of the season on Sunday at Barre’s Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl. Michaud posted the 16th victory of his career and the first of the season at the track for a Ford-powered car.

Michaud’s Northfield neighbor, Matt White, followed up a win on Thursday with a runner-up showing, and Randolph sophomore Dylan Smith posted a career-best third place effort after leading the first half of the 50-lap race. Rich Lowrey of Charlotte and Phil Scott of Montpelier completed the top five.

Hinesburg brothers Bobby and Tom Therrien finished 1-2 in the Tiger Sportsman feature for the first time in their careers. It was the third career win for younger brother Bobby. Tony Rossi of Peacham finished third, followed by Eric Badore and John Lambert.

Tim Campbell of West Topsham survived a mid-race crash to take his fourth Street Stock win of the season. Dave Whitcomb of Elmore was second, and Marvin Johnson of Essex Junction inherited third place after Danny Doyle was disqualified in post-race inspection. Campbell’s was impounded for further inspection and is expected to be released by Thunder Road officials on Wednesday.

Kevin Dodge of Barre was the top Junkyard Warrior, followed by Fred Schroeder of Bristol and Waterbury’s Josh Erwin.
