First Late Model championship event now set for Mekkelsen RV Memorial Day Classic
BARRE – Forecasted rain for Sunday has forced Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl officials to postpone the weekly racing season opener scheduled for Sunday, May 22.
The event has been rescheduled for Sunday, June 12.
The event was slated to be the first event in the weekly Thunder Road ACT Late Model championship battle. That event will now take place during the traditional 100-lap Mekkelsen RV Memorial Day Classic on Sunday, May 29.
The Pro All Stars Series North Super Late Models will run a 150-lap event that day, as well. The PASS Modifieds will be in attendance, as well. Thunder Road’s Tiger Sportsman and Street Stocks will continue their championship seasons that were started during the season opening Merchants Bank 150.
