GROVETON, N.H. — Jeffrey Martin remained perfect in the Twin State Street Stock Series on Saturday night at Speedway 51.

The Barre, Vt. driver ran from a seventh place position to claim the win in the 75-lap Jake McDowell Memorial event.

Martin battled for the lead with Alan Birch on multiple occasions until Martin took the lead for keeps late in the event.

Birch, of St. Johnsbury, Vt. finished second while 14-year-old and recent Thunder Road Street Stock winner Kasey Beattie of St. Johnsbury, Vt. finished third.

Sixteen-year-old Stephen Martin of Craftsbury, Vt. finished fourth while former Thunder Road Street Stock champion Tommy Smith of Williamstown, Vt. completed the top-five finishers.

Scott Weston, Ryan Ware, Dylan Laleme, Juan Marshall, and Tanner Amyot finished sixth through tenth, respectively.

By remaining perfect, Jeffrey Martin unofficially jumped out to a 20-point lead over Stephen Martin. Speedway 51 regular Alan Birch is third, 22 points back of the point leader, with Tommy Smith just two markers back of Birch in fourth. Beattie is fifth, eight points shy of Smith.

The third event in the Twin State Street Stock Series will take place at Thunder Road on Sunday, August 5 as part of the Bolduc Metal Recycling Enduro 200. The final event will take place at Speedway 51 on Saturday, October 20 as part of the Octoberfast Enduro 150.
