NORTH WOODSTOCK, N.H. — Williamstown, Vt.’s Mike Ziter earned his first career Bond/WIX Tiger Tour event at White Mountain Motorsports Park in North Woodstock, N.H., on Saturday. Ziter started from the pole, but didn’t have an easy ride to the win. He spent the majority of the event holding off current point leader Derrick O’Donnell, Joey Roberts, and defending Tiger Tour champion Jason Bonnett.

Ziter led all but two laps in the 100-lap event and held off repeated charges from Bradford, Vt., driver O’Donnell over the final 20 laps to take the win by a car length. O’Donnell would settle for second, while Joe Steffen of Grand Isle, Vt., came from 11th to take third. Troy Gray and Bonnett rounded out the top five, with Tucker Williams, Eric Badore, Tim Churchill, Bobby Therrien and David Finck completing the top ten.

The event saw a twenty-two car field and was completed in just over 40 minutes with just four cautions for minor incidents.

In other action at White Mountain, Quinny Welch of Lancaster, N.H., took his second Late Model victory of the season over Bernie Lantagne of McIndoe Falls, Vt., and Dan Colby of Lyman, N.H., while Alex Kelley (Strictly Stock), Shawn Sinclair (Strictly Stock Mini), and Ryan Olsen (Kids Truck) also earned victories.

The Bond/WIX Tiger Tour will visit Canaan Fair Speedway in Canaan, N.H., for the third event of five events on Saturday, August 20.
