WINCHESTER, N.H. — Les Hinckley led the final three laps en route to victory in the Bond Auto Parts Spring Dash 100 at the Monadnock Speedway. Hinckley, of Windsor Locks, Conn., restarted third after the final caution on Lap 93, with Louie Mechalides and Jon McKennedy in front of him. Hinckley, Mechalides, and McKennedy, along with Monadnock favorite Kirk Alexander, traded the lead back and forth over the final seven laps. Hinckley passed Mechalides for the final time and pulled out slightly to take the checkered flag at Monadnock.

“Louie had his hands full with the both of us,” said Hinckley. “I just had it in the back of my mind if I could have one clean lane to open up I could do something with him, it just never worked out until a couple to go.”

Mechalides, of Tyngsboro, Mass., held off Jon McKennedy, of Chelmsford, Mass, for second. Mechalides slid up the race track in defense numerous times, holding off charges from both McKennedy and Alexander in the closing stages of the race.

Kirk Alexander, of West Swanzey, N.H., settled for fourth while Rob Goodenough, of Swanzey, N.H., finished fifth.

Dwight Jarvis, Rowan Pennink, Tim Jordan, Chris Pasteryak, and Norm Wrenn rounded out the top ten.

The Valenti Modified Racing Series will resume their season at the Twin State Speedway in Claremont, N.H. on Saturday May 28th.
