STAFFORD SPRINGS, Conn. -- With the Lincoln Tech 80 Valenti Modified Racing Series event on the horizon at Stafford Motor Speedway, Todd Owen is looking forward to having a repeat performance of last year’s race. Owen, an SK Modified regular at Stafford, finished second behind Keith Rocco after starting from the 20th position. But Owen won’t be driving the same #29 he piloted last season; instead he will be behind the wheel of Jack Bateman’s

SEEKONK, Mass. -- Louie Mechalides knows how to finish a race when he starts on the front row.
The Tyngsboro, Mass., driver started on the outside of his teammate, Anthony Nocella, on the initial start of the Valenti Modified Racing Series Seekonk 100 and immediately took the lead. Series veteran Les Hinckley followed Mechalides on the outside and into second place, and began applying pressure. Read Full Story

WINCHESTER, N.H. -- Legendary car owner Art Barry picked the two-time Valenti Modified Racing Series champion Jon McKennedy to race the No. 2 car after Barry's son, Ken, developed a health problem. McKennedy won in his first race with the team, leading all 100 laps at Waterford Speedbowl.
McKennedy proved again at Monadnock Speedway that Barry's eye for talent hasn't wavered, as McKennedy scored his second win in as many starts with the team in the Bond Auto Parts Spring Dash. Read Full Story
