THE JUICE: Hmm? What Website?

-by Justin St. Louis VMM Editor Howdy, campers! I understand that it’s been way too long since the last “Juice” and for that I apologize. On second thought, many of you might be thrilled that it’s taken me a month to write a column. Either way, here we go. Lots to catch up on. *** First and foremost, Speedweeks: I had a freaking blast! Thanks to our good buddy Eric LaFleche over at Victory Lane Forum/Radio/Photos/Everything, I got to view the East Coast from the passenger’s seat of a Chevy Impala on the way down. Good Guy Lamberton Ready To Win Again

PHOTO: Mark Lamberton says a new confident attitude has him ready for a solid season on the American-Canadian Tour. (Eric LaFleche/ photo) An interview with Vermont Motorsports Magazine Editor Justin St. Louis Mark Lamberton wasn’t always a great racer, but he was a winner. In his early days at Airborne Speedway or Malone International, Lamberton was known as much for his on-track pushing and shoving as his checkered flags. Hoar Wins Battle, Polewarczyk Wins Speedweeks War

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. — The 2011 American-Canadian Tour season is already shaping up to be a continuation of last year: It’s Brian Hoar versus Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. Hoar, of Williston, drove his No. 37 Racing Engines Dodge from 13th starting position to win the second and final 100-lap round of the ACT Goodyear Speedweeks Cup at New Smyrna Speedway on Monday night, but it was Hudson, N.H.’s Polewarczyk who won the two-race Goodyear championship. Last year Hoar won the ACT Late Model Tour season championship with Polewarczyk the runner-up, and each driver won three championship-counting events. Polewarczyk’s...

AT THE TRACK: Round 2 From New Smyrna

-by Justin St. Louis VMM Editor Happy Valentine’s Day from New Smyrna! We’ll be honest with you here, we tried to rile some of the American-Canadian Tour drivers up this afternoon and get someone to say something outlandish or offensive, but everyone is in a good mood and ready to race. Can Joey Polewarczyk and Patrick Laperle come from the rear tonight to win the overall point standings? Will someone like Karl Allard, Mike Bruno, or Patrick Hamel pull off a surprise? *** Mark Lamberton credits most of his success this weekend to the efforts of chassis builder Mike...

Labbe Up, Then Down, Then Up At New Smyrna

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. — Alex Labbe flew in to New Smyrna Speedway a bit under the radar for most American-Canadian Tour fans, but he’ll return home to Quebec as one to watch in 2011. Labbe, who turns 18 years old in April, hails from of the town of Saint-Albert near Drummondville, about halfway between Montreal and Quebec City.
