Valenti Modified Racing Series Announces 2011 Schedule

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Valenti Modified Racing Series President Jack Bateman has announced a tentative 18-race schedule for the 2011 season. Bateman disclosed the schedule at the series’ annual awards banquet in West Springfield, Mass., on Saturday.
“The schedule is tentative at this point while some options are worked out,” Bateman said.
Highlights on the 2011 schedule include the opener at Waterford Speedbowl on the Connecticut shoreline in March, two dates at Stafford Motor Speedway in Stafford Springs, Conn., a return to Airborne Speedway in Plattsburgh, N.Y., and the revamped “Ricky’s Race For Kids” at Canaan Fair Speedway in central New Hampshire.
Waterford, Stafford, and Thompson (Conn.) Int’l Speedway will each host the series twice, as will Monadnock Speedway and Lee USA Speedway in New Hampshire. Seekonk Speedway on the Massachusetts seacoast will hold three events.
Single dates for the series will be held in New Hampshire at Twin State Speedway in Claremont and Canaan Fair Speedway in Canaan, in Maine at Oxford Plains Speedway and Beech Ridge Motor Speedway, and in New York at Airborne Speedway.
Gone from the schedule are Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl in Barre, Vt., and Albany-Saratoga Speedway in Malta, N.Y.
