Airborne Hosts Tri-Track Modified Series Wednesday

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. -- More than 35 Modifieds are expected at Airborne Speedway on Wednesday, August 11, for a $2,000-to-win 100-lap Tri-Track Modified Series event. Post time is 7:00pm.
Albany-Saratoga (N.Y.) Speedway, Devil’s Bowl Speedway in West Haven, Vt., and Airborne are hosting two events apiece in the six-race series. Airborne’s second series race is set for Sunday, September 12.
Kenny Tremont, Jr., of West Sand Lake, N.Y., Keith Flach of Ravena, N.Y., Mike Bruno of Castleton, Vt., Marc Johnson of Guilderland, N.Y., Chris Ross of Ballston Spa, N.Y., Jim Ryan and Andy Lindemann are among the invaders entered. They’ll go up against Airborne’s top runners including Patrick Dupree of Saranac Lake, N.Y., Martin Roy of Napierville, Que., Greg Atkins of Clintonville, N.Y., Leon Gonyo of Chazy, N.Y., Mike Reyell, Bryant Trim and Don Scarborough the “Brandon Bandit”. Scarborough won the first Tri-Track Modified Series event at Devil’s Bowl.
Dupree has five wins this season and is the current Ernie's Discount Tools Modified point leader at Airborne.
The race card is presented by Plattsburgh Ford and Haley Lumber. Airborne’s 4-cylinder divisions, the NAPA Mini-Modifieds and the Monster Energy Bombers, will also compete.
Starting positions in the Modified qualifying heats will be determined by draw.
Admission is $15/adults -- kids 12 and under admitted free of charge. Grandstands open at 5 p.m. Airborne Speedway is located just off Rte 22 on Broderick Road one mile south of I-87 exit 36.
