SCARBOROUGH, Me. -- Preston, Conn., driver Kenny Barry scored his second career win Saturday night with the Modified Racing Series sponsored by BobValentiAutoMall.com, at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Me. Barry becomes the tenth different winner in eleven races in 2010, and the fifth different winner of the Beech Ridge 100-lap event.
Series point leader Jon McKennedy of East Chelmsford, Mass., took the lead from pole-sitter Jacob Dore of Sanford, Me., on lap three and set the pace for the next 63 laps before being passed by Barry. Barry led the final 33 laps to pick up the win, the first for his father, noted car builder and owner Art Barry.
For the second race in a row, Dwight Jarvis of Ascutney, Vt., finished second, followed by Mike Holdridge of Madison, Conn., Todd Annarummo of Swansea, Mass., and Les Hinckley, III, of Windsor Locks, Conn.

The race was slowed by seven caution periods. Nineteen cars finished the race, with 16 drivers on the lead lap. The next event for the Modified Racing Series is at Waterford (Conn.) Speedbowl on August 14.
