Therrien Brothers Nab Tiger Tour Score At White Mountain

- Justin St. Louis on 07 Jun 2010

Eric LaFleche/VLFRacing.com photoNORTH WOODSTOCK, N.H. -- Tom Therrien scored the biggest win of his career at White Mountain Motorsports Park on Saturday as he won the first 100-lap round of the four-race Bond Auto/WIX Filters ACT Tiger Tour.

Tony Rossi of Peacham spun out of the lead on lap 33, handing control over to defending Thunder Road track champion Jimmy Hebert of Williamstown. Therrien, of Hinesburg, worked his way from 17th on the 30-car starting grid to take the lead from Hebert on lap 83, and held Hebert and younger Eric LaFleche/VLFRacing.com photobrother Bobby Therrien off for the win after a restart bunched the field with three laps remaining.

ACT Late Model star Dave Pembroke of Middlesex drove from 19th to finish fourth in a rare Tiger Sportsman division appearance, with two-time Airborne Speedway champion Jason Bonnett of St. Albans finishing fifth. Another Late Model standout, Chip Grenier, was sixth, followed by Joey Roberts, Mike Ziter, Derrick O'Donnell, and Eric Badore.

Twenty-three of the 30 starters were running on the lead lap at the finish. The next Bond/WIX Tiger Tour race will be held at Thunder Road in Barre on July 1.
