NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. -- The American-Canadian Tour makes its first trip to Florida’s New Smyrna Speedway at the 45th annual World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing on Sunday and Monday.
First run in 1967, the World Series is held each winter in conjunction with the Daytona 500 at nearby Daytona Int’l Speedway, and the list of former champions reads like a who’s who of North American short track racing.
For the first time in its history, the Waterbury, Vt.-based ACT sanctioning body will take part in the World Series, holding 100-lap events on back-to-back nights to make up the inaugural ACT Goodyear Speedweeks Cup. Read Full Story
