Seven-time ACT Late Model Tour champion Brian Hoar of Williston, Vt., is among 28 drivers entered in the inaugural ACT Goodyear Speedweeks Cup at New Smyrna Speedway in New Smyrna Beach, Fla., on Sunday and Monday, February 13 and 14. The two-night event includes a pair of 100-lap main events as part of the annual World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna during Florida Speedweeks. Hoar, the all-time ACT leader in wins with 27 in his career, has never competed on the high-banked, half-mile track. Winner of each of the last two ACT championships, he is bringing the same car he finished fourth with in the 2nd annual ACT Invitational at New Hampshire Motor Speedway last September. Second-year ACT Late Model Tour driver Austin Theriault debuts with his new team at the inaugural ACT Goodyear Speedweeks Cup at New Smyrna Speedway in New Smyrna Beach, Fla., on Sunday and Monday, February 13 and 14. The two-night event includes a pair of 100-lap main events as part of the annual World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna during Florida Speedweeks. Theriault, who narrowly missed 2010 ACT Rookie of the Year honors while driving for his family's team, will compete for the first time with for seven-time ACT championship car owner Rick Paya of RPM Motorsports at New Smyrna.
