Sweet Repeat: Back-to-Back Merchants Bank Victories for Sweet

BARRE -- Thirty-nine minutes was all it took for Nick Sweet to win back-to-back Merchants Bank 150s at Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl. Sweet, of Barre, started in the eighth position and took advantage of lapped traffic, catching and passing Joey Polewarczyk on lap 92 to win. Read Full Story
Helliwell Returns Familiar Colors to Thunder Road

BARRE -- “Dynamite” Dave Dion, of Hudson N.H., first arrived at Thunder Road International Speedbowl in 1972 with a rag-tag orange Ford. The car featured a white 27 on both sides, and the paint scheme soon became synonymous with fans after only one night high atop Quarry Hill.
Wayne Helliwell, Jr., also a native son of New Hampshire, residing from Dover, will ride in those familiar colors throughout his 2011 racing campaign. Read Full Story
