Date With Destiny: LeBlanc Hopes For Riverside ACT Event
GROVETON, N.H. -- Jean LeBlanc isn’t certain, but he is optimistic. The first-year Riverside Speedway promoter feels that it’s likely just a matter of time before his track has a date on the American-Canadian Tour schedule.
Under the leadership of LeBlanc this season and promoter Dick Therrien previously, Riverside has enjoyed a growth period since around 2007. Car counts are on the rise, facility improvements have been made, and the racing has been more competitive. LeBlanc is hoping to build upon a relationship he has forged with ACT and Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl director Tom Curley and land an event as soon as next year. SURVIVAL: Steffen Hangs On For Thunder Road Win

BARRE -- Joe Steffen was the last man standing on Thursday night at Barre’s Thunder Road, and walked away with his first victory in more than four years. A total of nine cautions -- including one red flag for a massive pileup that took out early leader Scott Coburn -- marred the 100-lap Bond Auto/WIX ACT Tiger Tour marathon.
The race took nearly an hour and twenty minutes to complete. By comparison, the Tiger Sportsman division is known to race three weeks straight without so much as a spinout.
“It was like the seven hours of Wimbledon, I didn’t think it was ever going to be over with,” said winner Steffen. Read Full Story
Sanville Takes Twin State Win At Big Daddy’s
RUMNEY, N.H. -- Jason Sanville took down the victory in round three of the Twin State Modified Series at Big Daddy’s Speedbowl on Sunday.
Hometown driver Sanville, of Rumney, N.H., posted his first win in the six-race Gravco Janitorial/Jasper Engines Twin State Modified Series, fending off series point leader Kevin Chaffee of Orange and Big Daddy’s point leader Ryan Avery of Thornton, N.H. Read Full Story
