Donnelly Thwarts Car Owner Allen With Last-Lap Pass For Win

BRADFORD -- Sprint Cars of New England rookie Chris Donnelly has seemingly become a master of the last-lap domain, this time outdueling his car owner Si Allen for the victory on Saturday at Bear Ridge Speedway in Bradford.
Pleasant weather greeted fans at race time for SCoNE’s third visit of the year to Bear Ridge Speedway. Another SCoNE rookie, Dan Douville, entered the event undefeated for the year at the track.
At drop of the green, Donny Sharp, Jr., quickly jumped out front, with Allen settling in second. Sharp enjoyed nearly a straightaway’s lead by lap five, but his car hit a big clod of clay two circuits later, sending his car into the air and hard into the turn four wall. Read Full Story
Hoar Goes Back-To-Back At Airborne
PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. -- It’s beginning to look easy for Brian Hoar. The Williston driver earned his second-straight American-Canadian Tour victory at Airborne Speedway on Saturday night and extended his streak of top-five finishes to six in a row to begin the season.
Hoar, the defending ACT Late Model Tour champion, led all but one lap of the Furniture World of Vermont Spring Green 100, postponed by rain in May, and widened his point lead over Milton’s Brent Dragon. Read Full Story

A controversial pit road rule that places pitted cars a lap down during caution periods has been lifted by Oxford Plains Speedway officials for the Late Model open-competition TD Bank 250 on July 18. Read Full Story
