Wood earns Sportsman title, Boutin steals Renegades

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. --
All Vince Quenneville, Jr., had to do was be patient.

For nine-tenths of the Tri-Track Modified Series Apple Bowl 100 at Airborne Speedway on Sunday, the Brandon, Vt., driver played the role of pursuer, following Martin Roy of Napierville, Que., and 2010 Airborne champion Patrick Dupree of Saranac Lake, N.Y., in third place. Read Full Story

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. --
Patrick Laperle was expected to be a contender for the win at Airborne Speedway on Sunday. He didn’t disappoint.

The St-Denis, Que., driver hailed -- at least in the States -- as “Le Grand Laperle” recovered from a mid-race spin that left him one lap behind the leaders, earned his lap back during green-flag racing, then completed a breathtaking three-wide pass for the lead with 33 laps remaining to win the Mohawk Casino Fall Foliage 300, the penultimate race on the American-Canadian Tour championship schedule. STAFFORD SPRINGS, Conn. --
Ted Christopher finally put it all together and won his first BobValentiAutomall.com Modified Racing Series event Friday night at Stafford Motor Speedway.

Christopher, of Plainville, Conn., bested a field of 27 other racers to win the inaugural Shark Cycle 100. The all-time leading winner at Stafford became the 12th different MRS winner this season. Read Full Story
