ST-PIE, Que. --
The American-Canadian Tour/ACT Castrol Series Sanair 100 at Saniar Super Speedway was postponed by one day after rain shower delayed the start by two hours. Drivers decided to forgo the heat races in an effort to complete the Sanair 100, but after five laps of competition, the rains returned and forced the postponement after seven laps until Sunday, August 12 at 1:00pm.

Wayne Helliwell, Jr., of Dover, N.H., led the 39-car field to green under-the-lights at the 7/8ths mile Sanair trioval, but it was native country man Patrick Laperle jumping out to the lead. Laperle, of St-Denis, Que., would lead until the caution flew on lap five.

Karl Allard, of St-Felicien, Que., started third and moved into the second position when the caution flag flew. Helliwell sat third. Joey Polewarczyk, Jr., and Jean-Francois Dery were fourth and fifth. Brent Dragon, Austin Theraiult, Eddie MacDonald, Ryan Nolin, and Brian Hoar completed the top ten on lap seven.

The seventh race on the American-Canadian Tour schedule will resume at 1:00pm today, Sunday, August 12.
