GROVETON, N.H. --

The 200-lap ACT-type Late Model event will pay $10,000 to the winner. Last year, Derrick O’Donnell shocked the Late Model world when he claimed the $5,000 top prize for his first career Late Model win.

Now four-time Riverside champion Bryan Mason leads the list of contenders into the Fall Brawl. The Stark, N.H., driver edged out his brother, Corey, for the track’s championship this season. Other Riverside Speedway favorites include Brandon Lambert of Colebrook, N.H., and 2012 Late Model champion Luke Shannon of Groveton, N.H.

Reigning two-time ACT Late Model Tour champion Wayne Helliwell, Jr., will lead the list of outsiders into Riverside to challenge for the Fall Brawl 200 win. The Dover, N.H., driver was in contention to win in the late stages of last year’s race before contact while battling for the lead, which led to the thrilling conclusion, dropped him out of lead.

Three-time ACT Late Model Tour winner in 2013, Joey Polewarczyk, Jr., will also be among the favorites for the Fall Brawl. The Hudson, N.H., driver claimed one of this three wins at Riverside in June, and also snagged the win

Two-time Thunder Road champion and recent Milk Bowl victor Nick Sweet has also stated he would be among the entrants in the Fall Brawl. The Barre, Vt., driver was also dominant in the Vermont State Late Model Championship series as he captured two wins and two second place finishes in the four-race tour.

The North Country Ford Fall Brawl will also feature a $1,000-to-win Limited Late Model open, a $500-to-win Street Stock Open, a $300-to-win Pure Stock open, and the Northeast Mini Stock Tour season finale.

Emerson Cayer of Contoocook, N.H., holds a 40-point advantage over Dublin, N.H., driver Toby Wells. East Thetford, Vermont’s Matt Sonnhalter sits a distant third in the standings.

The North Country Fall Brawl will go green at 1:00pm on Saturday, October 19.
