Mattison Notches First Asphalt Win At Devil's Bowl

WEST HAVEN -- Don Mattison parlayed a front-row starting position and a night of mechanical problems by points leader Ken Tremont, Jr., into his first win of the season Sunday night in the Modified feature at Devil's Bowl Speedway.
Tremont spent more time under his car than in it Sunday night, and had to start scratch in the feature, but he only lasted 14 laps, ducking into the infield and calling it a night.
But that didn't mean the Devil's Bowl fans weren't highly entertained, as they saw some great racing, and a little too much contact. Read Full Story
Late Caution Gives Tremont Devil’s Bowl Win
Devil’s Bowl Speedway coverage presented by Bruno’s Towing
WEST HAVEN -- It was all Vince Quenneville, Jr., until the yellow flag flew late at Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Sunday night.
The Brandon driver diced for the top spot with Jimmy Ryan before taking the lead after a lap-14 restart in the 30-lap Modified event. Mike Bruno got by Ryan two laps later for second place, but Quenneville opened up a large lead and seemingly had the race in hand. When Bruno’s tire blew with five laps remaining, though, Quenneville’s lead was gone.

Johnson Takes First Devil’s Bowl Win

WEST HAVEN -- Marc Johnson needed a win at Devil’s Bowl Speedway, and he got it. The Guilderland, N.Y., driver shrugged off a string of bad luck and won a three-car fight with Tim LaDuc and Mike Bruno for the Modified win before a packed house on Sunday night. Read Full Story
