BRADFORD --
Adam Pierson keeps getting it done at Bear Ridge Speedway, earning his fifth Sportsman Modified feature victory of the season on Saturday night.

The Fairlee driver missed the previous event and surrendered the point lead to Gary Siemons and young Jason Gray, but Siemons did not show for the Interstate Batteries/JTB Towing & Recovery event, allowing Pierson to regain some lost ground.

In the fashion that has become typical of Pierson this summer, he drove from the rear of the field to snatch the lead from rookie Jeff Elliott with just three laps remaining and sped to the win. Elliott, of Benton, N.H., came home a career-best second, with Jack Cook, rookie Derek Graham, and Jim Morgan in tow. Gray, Justin Comes, Toby Tatro, Bryan King, and Josh Sunn completed the top ten.

East Corinth driver Melvin Pierson, Adam’s uncle, overcame a summer’s worth of odd luck for his first Sportsman Coupe win of the year. Melvin Pierson, who entered the night trailing brother Gene by just five points for the championship despite a rash of recent mechanical failures, took the lead halfway through the event and held off his brother for the victory. Rookie Shane Race was third ahead of Chris Carbee and Steve Ellsworth. Robert Tucker finished eighth after a flip on lap two.

Youngster T.C. Forward of Lyme, N.H., earned his first win of the season in the Limited Late Model race, defeating the largest starting field of the season. Forward nearly brought home the triple crown by finishing second in his qualifying heat and winning the bonus semi feature. Troy Comeau was the runner-up, with Bradford’s Tyler Stygles third.

After Josh Sunn won the first ten events in the Fast Four class, Vershire’s Tim Hodge has taken over at the top, earning his third straight win. Sunn was second over Kevin Harran. Bradford’s Tom Placey earned his seventh win of the year in the Hornet division, with Mike Ryan and Don Reynolds on the podium. Melissa King of Corinth was the Hornet Queen winner for the fifth time in seven events. Marissa Osgood and Misty Bell finished second and third, respectively.
