BREAKING NEWS: Bear Ridge To Host New England Dirt Track Championships
BRADFORD -- Vermont Motorsports Magazine has learned that Bear Ridge Speedway in Bradford will host the first-ever New England Dirt Track Championships on Saturday, September 25.
The track is expected to officially announce the event in the near future.
Promoter Butch Elms is expected to promote a 50-lap feature for Sportsman Modified and Budget Modified cars with an increased purse, and may negotiate with area tracks to hold qualifying races throughout the summer. No less than eight tracks in New England and New York operate with divisions similar to Bear Ridge Speedway’s Sportsman Modified class.
It was not clear whether the race would be a “straight” 50-lap feature or two 25-lap segments. Bear Ridge’s other divisions -- Sportsman Coupe, Limited Late Model, Fast Four, and Hornet -- are also expected to be on the card.
