BRADFORD -- Weglarz Property Service & Excavation of Hartland, Vt., has joined Bradford's Bear Ridge Speedway as the Mid-Race Leader award sponsor for 2010. Each week, two alternating race divisions will be awarded the Mid-Race Leader award sponsored by Weglarz Property Service & Excavation.
"We are very excited to be working with Weglarz Property Service & Excavation in 2010, and look forward to a long relationship with them," said Bear Ridge Speedway promoter C.V. Elms. As part of the association with Bear Ridge, Weglarz has constructed a new victory lane post-race interview area in the track's infield.
The Mid-Race Leader award will be presented to the two winners the following week during pre-race ceremonies. Opening night for the 99ROCK WFRD Weekly Racing Series is set for Saturday, May 15.
Bear Ridge Sees Registration Equaling Full Fields
BRADFORD -- The growth continues at Bradford's Bear Ridge Speedway, as pre-season registration for the track's two headline divisions -- the Bond Auto Sportsman Modifieds and the Wells River Chevrolet Sportsman Coupes -- are equaling full fields.
Gary Siemons of Orford, N.H., will try for his fourth consecutive Sportsman Modified championship, but have the challenges of Piermont, N.H.'s Chris Donnelly, a six-time winner in 2009. The Sportsman Coupes are showing better numbers than have been seen for several years, meaning Topsham's Josh Harrington may have his work cut out for him to win back-to-back championships.
Opening night is set for Saturday, May 15, with each of the five 99ROCK WFRD Weekly Racing Series divisions competing with double features for double points.
