Hull would them zoom away on the restart.

The win for Hull was his first at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Sprint Car competition.

Series point leader Chris Donnelly of Piermont, N.H. drove from a tenth place starting spot to finish second while Luke Greenwood of Hudson, N.H. finished third. Rookie driver Chad Turck backed up his runner-up finish the night before at Bear Ridge with a fourth place finish while youngster Tyler Austin completed the top-five finishers.

Defending series champion Dan Douville finished sixth with Dennis McLeod seventh. Hoyt came home in eighth after his spin with Patrick Smith ninth. Lauren Boisvert completed the top-ten finishers, unofficially.

For Donnelly, he unofficially takes over the track’s mini-championship for the Sprint Cars after recent feature winner Bobby Hackel destroyed his car in a qualifying race flip. He was uninjured.

The Sprint Cars of New England continue their 2016 season on Friday, September 9 at Legion Speedway. They will visit Devil’s Bowl Speedway for the final time of the season on Sunday, September 25 for the Green Mountain Sprint Car Nationals combination event with Empire Super Sprint series.
