Colbeth earns Sportsman Coupe win

WENTWORTH, N.H. – Robbie Williams rode a pair of second place finishes to the overall Sportsman Modified win on Friday night at Legion Speedway.

The Plainfield, N.H. driver’s score of four points was the lowest overall cumulative score in the two 20-lap features.

Point leader Derek O’Hearn of Bristol, N.H. finished second overall with eight points after a third and fifth place finish, respectively. Jason Sanville of Grafton, N.H. finished third overall with recent Devil’s Bowl Speedway winner Chad Miller fourth overall. Matt Lashua completed the top-five overall finishers.

Segment winners were Sanville and Miller, respectively.

Jason Colbeth grabbed the win in the Bear Ridge Speedway Sportsman Coupe feature.

The Newbury, Vt. driver took the lead after an early race restart and sailed to the win.

Michael Danforth of Corinth, Vt. rallied back after an early race incident to finish second with Brian Chaffee third. Defending Bear Ridge Coupe champion Bob Shepard and Earl Maxham completed the top-five finishers.

Hunter Nutter of Orford, N.H. grabbed his second straight win in the Petro Mart of Enfield Super Street feature. Nutter finished ahead of Donald Ottati and Doug Boucher on the podium with Travis Smith and Chris Clark fourth and fifth.

Aaron Bunker of Newport, N.H. claimed his fifth Enfield Garage Outlaw Mini Stock feature win of the season.

Bunker bested Jonathon Baker of Plymouth, N.H. with Rich Willey Jr. third. Fabian Smith and Robert Willey completed the top-five finishers.

Legion Speedway continues its 2016 season on Friday, August 27 with a visit from the USAC Dirt Midget Association. Post time is set for 7:00pm.
