MALTA, N.Y. – Adam Pierson used a lap six restart to get by leader Kevin Chaffe and held on to claim the win in the USAC Dirt Midget Association feature on Friday night at Albany-Saratoga Speedway.

The East Corinth, Vt. driver had moved into the second spot before a lap three restart before he was setup again with another restart three laps later.

The win for Pierson was his second straight in USAC Dirt Midget Association competition.

Pierson’s Frank Manafort Racing teammate Josh Sunn of White River Junction, Vt. finished second while Chaffee, of Bradford, Vt., held on for third. Adam Whitney and Kenney Johnson completed the top-five finishers.

Dean Christensen, Mark Cole, Robert Tucker, Jeff Champagne, and Jeff Horn finished sixth through tenth, respectively.

The USAC Dirt Midget Association runs again at Bear Ridge Speedway on Saturday, June 18. The series will return to Albany-Saratoga Speedway on Friday, August 5.
