Dore claims GSPSS feature win; Corey grabs second straight Strictly Mini win

NORTH WOODSTOCK, N.H. – Oren Remick came out on top of a thrilling battle for the lead on Saturday night at White Mountain Motorsports Park to claim his first win of the season.

The Warner, N.H. driver battled side-by-side with Quinny Welch for the top spot on a late race restart until Remick inched ahead for the lead in the 50-lap NAPA Late Model feature.

Welch, of Lancaster, N.H., settled for second after he claimed the opening night win one week ago. Bernie Lantagne of McIndoe Falls, Vt. finished third while Mike Jurkowski finished fourth. Multi-time champion Stacy Cahoon completed the top-five finishers.

Jonathan Lemay, Richie Brown, Dave Boyce, Mike Clark, and Will Avery finished sixth through tenth, respectively.

Jacob Dore held off Pro Stock veteran Barry Gary to claim the 100-lap Granite State Pro Stock Series event.

The Sanford, Maine driver started on the outside pole and quickly grabbed ahold of the top spot. Gray, however, was able to make a late race charge on Dore, but had to settle for second.

Former White Mountain Late Model champion Glenn Martel of Belmont, N.H. finished third with Mike Parks and Craig Weinstein fourth and fifth. John Salemi, Mike Mitchell, Mike O’Sullivan, Greg Naniginan, and James Miller completed the top-ten finishers.

Matt Morrill of Moutlonborough, N.H. earned the win in the 30-lap Wells River Chevrolet Tigers. Morrill finished ahead of last week’s winner Shane Sicard of Barton, Vt. and hometown racer Tim Churchill. Todd Colpitts and David Baron Sr. completed the top-five finishers.

Tom Smithers of Gilford, N.H. picked up the win in the 25-lap Twisted Team Dwarf Car feature. Smithers finished ahead of Bobby Brown and last week’s winner Jason Wyman. Eric Corum and Jeff Ainsworth finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

Scott Corey of Concord, Vt. captured his second straight Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Mini feature win in their 20-lap event. Corey finished ahead of Michael Richards Jr., Brett Jackson, Scott Senecal, and Jared Ainsworth.

Robby Gordon Douglas earned his second straight Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Kid’s Truck feature win.
