Fall Foliage return to Beech Ridge, three ACT/PASS events highlight 2016 schedule

WATERBURY — American-Canadian Tour officials released their 2016 schedule on Wednesday that will see the United States-based ACT Late Model Tour visit 12 tracks stretched across six states and one Canadian province.
Three combination events with the Pro All Stars Series Super Late Models highlight the 13- race schedule, including the return of the famed Fall Foliage 200 to Beech Ridge Motor Speedway on Saturday and Sunday, Setpember 17 and 18 as part of the PASS Weekend.
The Fall Foliage previously ran at the Scarborough, Maine oval from 1987 through 1989.
The ACT Late Model Tour will also visit Beech Ridge earlier in the year, on Saturday, August 6, for a 100-lap standalone event.
Oxford Plains Speedway will also host the first ACT/PASS doubleheader of the season on Sunday, April 17.
Autodrome Montmagny returns to the ACT Late Model Tour schedule for the first time since 1999 on Saturday, July 23 as the half-mile oval will play host to an ACT/PASS Doubleheader that will also be a combination event with Serie ACT Quebec.
Lee USA Speedway will kick off the 2016 season on Sunday, April 10 with the traditional New Hampshire Governor’s Cup 150 for the first of three visits by the ACT Late Model Tour to New Hampshire. The second visit will come in the heart of the White Mountain region at White Mountain Motorsports Park for a 150-lap event on Saturday, June 18 while Speedway 51 in Groveton, N.H., will host the ACT Late Model Tour on Saturday, August 20 for the Lil’ Joey Generation Next 151.
Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl will host the first of two point counting events for the ACT Late Model Tour in the state of Vermont on Sunday, May 1 for the Merchants Bank 150. Devil’s Bowl Speedway will host the ACT Late Model Tour just one month later, on Saturday, June 4, for the People’s United Bank 100.
New York’s Airborne Park Speedway will host one event in 2016 on Saturday, May 14 for the traditional Spring Green event.
New London-Waterford Speedbowl will host the first event of the recently announced Southern New England Triple Crown Series on Saturday, May 21 with a 100-lap event. It will be the first ACT Late Model Tour event at the shoreline oval since 2010.
Seekonk Speedway will host its first ACT Late Model Tour event since 2007 on Saturday, July 16 with a 150-lap event and the middle leg of the Southern New England Triple Crown Series.
Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park will host the season finale for both the $10,000-to-win ACT Late Model Tour championship and the Southern New England Triple Crown Series with a 75-lap event during the World Series of Speedway Racing on Saturday, October 15.
