Thunder Road Announces 18 Race Schedule for 2015

BARRE -- Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl officials announced on Monday an 18-race event schedule for their upcoming 2015 racing schedule, the 56th in the track’s storied history.
The season will open on Saturday and Sunday, May 2 and 3 with the ACT Late Model Tour and the traditional opening weekend festivities.
Super Late Models will make their return to the high-banked quarter-mile on Sunday, May 24 in conjunction with the historic Mekkelsen RV Memorial Day Classic 100. Thunder Road’s Late Model championship season will begin in the 100-lap event while the Pro All Stars Series Super Late Models will run in a 150-lap event.
The Thursday night season will kick off for 12 consecutive weeks on June 11. Two special events highlight the Thursday night season, first on July 9 with the VP Fuels Vermont Governor’s Cup. The double-point counting Times Argus Mid-Season Championship event will take place just two weeks later on July 23.
The Fourth of July special event is slated place on Sunday, July 5. A fan favorite, the 200-lap Enduro, will take place on Sunday, August 2 and be accompanied by the annual Street Stock special event. The Thursday night season will conclude on August 27.
The Coca-Cola Labor Day Classic will once again conclude the Thunder Road Late Model season and determine the season’s champion, which will take place on Sunday, September 6.
Thunder Road’s 56th season will conclude on Saturday and Sunday, October 10 and 11 with the 53rd Annual Milk Bowl festivities.
